Day 64

Let's finish up the Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Guitarists.

Chuck Berry - "Johnny B. Goode"

#6 Chuck Berry. So influential.

Robert Johnson - "Crossroad"

#5 Robert Johnson. Not called the king of the Delta Blues for nothin'.

Eric Clapton - "Get Read"

#4 Eric Clapton. Going with something from 461 Ocean Boulevard.

BB King - "Lucille"

#3 BB King. Another early great so no arguing. Great restaurant too.

Allman Brothers Band - "Statesboro Blues"

#2 Duane Allman. Hopefully he's on this version.

Jimi Hendrix Experience - "Foxy Lady"

#1 Jimi Hendrix. No surprise here. Going with side 1, track 1 of first album.

I'll throw in some guitar players here and there that I thought would make the list.

Helmet - "Unsung"

Paige Hamilton. Probably too small a body of work.

Public Enemy - "You're Gonna' Get Yours"

Another first album, first song of side 1.

Slayer - "Raining Blood"

Going with another Rick Rubin production--Kerry King is likely another near miss.

Pantera - "Walk"

Dimebag Darrell is the top guitarist's on Guitar World's list of 100 greatest heavy metal guitarists to not make Rolling Stone's list.

Grim Reaper - "See You in Hell"

The band's rated #100.

Running count: 398 songs for 2011. Probably more later.
